We are back from Melbourne and have fallen in love with Andrew McConnells new resturant Golden Fields. (Andrew has recieved Chef of the year from Gormet Travller and the Age Good Food Guide for his other ventures, Cumulus Inc and Cutler & Co)

His Asian focused shared plates and small dishes are to die for! Not to mention the food and beverage knowlege from the wait staff. (Don't you just love it when the staff actually know what the specials of the day are!!)

Golden Fields gets the golden thumbs up from Calexico.

Name Nicky Hendrie

Hometown Born in Melbourne + raised in Perth

I spend my Sundays... sleeping in, walking along the river and brunch with the girls

Destination  Barcelona. There is a great mix of the old and the new when it comes to architecture, fashion and lifestyle... It has a real soul that is hard find anywhere else.

My style can be described as... with my Gemini personality, it really depends on what side of the bed I wake up on. Some days I’m a tomboy and others a flower child.

My earliest fashion memory was when MJ’s Thriller was at  its peak, my mum would give me the option of going to a rowdy party or to the movies, typically I opted for the party which resulted in mum dressing me exactly as her; Denim mini, boots and white tee with the sleeves rolled up.

My fashion debut  was 12 years ago at a factory pressing suiting and tagging garments. Not what you’d expect.

What is one thing most people don't know about you?  I was suspended three times from an all girls catholic boarding school.

What are the most treasured pieces in your wardrobe? Alaia Slouch Suede Buckle Boots, my mum’s cocktail ring and this wife-beater tank that I’ve had forever.
All time favourite tune Still Going, by Still Going.

What designers are you most excited about right now? The three new additions to Calexico; Phillip Lim, ACNE and Isabel Marant.

Four people that you’d love to have dinner with? Prince, Jean Michele Basquiat, Grace Coddington and Banksy

Quinoa - pronounced Keen-Wah is our new favourite lunch choice amongst the Calexico staff, including Ben!
