Local New York native Andrea Lieberman began her career as a fashion stylist before starting her own, hip and edgy line, A.L.C.  The latest holiday designs of A.L.C. have just hit the shop floor at Calexico where stunning silks, zips and tailored blazers have graced the collection. Learn a little bit more about our new fav designer A.L.C. and join the New York cult following like we are...
You were a stylist and now you’re running your own fashion company. How did that happen?
It was a very organic transition. As a stylist, I feel I developed an understanding of what women are looking for and what makes them feel confident and glamorous. You learn to appreciate the nexus between individual body types and different styles.

Describe your design process.
I like to begin by thinking of my ‘it girl’ and from there conceptualize what wardrobe needs she’ll have for the season. While my vision of the girl varies from season to season, the A.L.C. woman is always effortlessly chic, yet is not afraid to push the envelope.

Your best fashion advice?
Seek out an experienced tailor. It seems basic but a perfect fit should never be underestimated.

What was the last thing you Googled?
Handcuffs (inspiration for my new jewellery collection)... Calexico can’t wait!!

 What should every woman own?
Definitely, a leather jacket – nothing matches the versatility!
